
近日, NSII项目负责人马克平研究员与英国卡迪夫大学教授合作的文章“‘openDS’ – A
New Standard for Digital Specimens and Other Natural Science Digital Object
Types”在生物多样性信息科学与标准(Biodiversity Information Science
and Standards)杂志上发表。
该文对五种主要的数字对象类型重新定义了结构和内容,并对其进行操作的行为给出了新标准:
1. Digital
specimen: Representing a digitised physical specimen, contains information
about a single specimen with links to related supplementary information;
2. Storage
container: Representing groups of specimens stored within a single container,
such as insect tray, drawer or sample jar;
3. Collection:
Information about characteristics of a collection;
4. Organisation:
Information about the legal-entity owning the specimen and collection to which
it belongs;
5. Interpretation:
Assertion(s) made on or about the specimen such as determination of species and
comments.
